SDI Project

Strengthening collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and coordination for better settlement outcomes.

Our Mission

Bridge Together is an IRCC-funded Service Delivery Improvement (SDI) project dedicated to strengthening collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and coordination between settlement service providers and refugee sponsoring groups. The project’s work is rooted in the belief that, when systems are better connected, sponsored newcomers receive more seamless, responsive, and effective support as they settle in Canada.

The refugee resettlement landscape is complex, and involves multiple stakeholders, responsibilities, and timelines. Bridge Together hopes to bridge the gaps between services, sectors, and lived experiences so that sponsored newcomers are supported in ways that are coordinated, culturally responsive, and grounded.

Our Three Core Pillars

Connect

Bring together settlement service providers, refugee sponsoring groups, and refugees through workshops, advisory tables, and engagement sessions to build meaningful relationships, shared understanding, and open dialogue across roles and sectors.

Collaborate

Support partners by sharing practical tools, resources, and insights that enhance coordination, reduce duplication, streamline service delivery, and strengthen collective responses to complex settlement challenges.

Co-Create

Centre lived experience in everything we do by co-designing approaches alongside refugee newcomers, sponsors, and frontline practitioners to ensure that strategies reflect real needs, build on existing strengths, and align with promising and best practices across the settlement sector.

Get Involved

Together, Bridge Together works to create a more connected, responsive, and inclusive settlement system. Partners can get involved through our Advisory Table or Engagement Group.

Advisory Table

Provides strategic guidance, helping shape project objectives and review key activities and deliverables to ensure they meet sector needs.

Engagement Group

Offers a flexible space to connect, share experiences, and contribute practical insights that ground the project’s work in real-world practice.
